Understanding the bidding system at CJ Motors

Hey everyone, I've been looking at repo auctions for a while and finally decided to give cjmotors.com a try. Just won my first bid on a 2019 Ford F-150 and honestly the whole bidding process was way smoother than I expected. Anyone else have experience with their auction system? I'm curious how it compares to other sites.
Congrats on the win! I've bought 3 vehicles from CJ Motors over the past year and their bidding interface is honestly one of the better ones I've used. It's straightforward, real-time updates, and I like that you can see the current bid without all the clutter some other auction sites have.
I just got a 2020 Honda CR-V through their site last month. The bidding was super easy to follow. I appreciated that the timer extends if someone bids in the last minute so you don't get sniped unfairly. Felt like a fair system overall.
Been using cjmotors.com for my dealership lot for about 2 years now. The bidding platform is reliable and I've never had issues with the system going down during an auction. That's huge when you're trying to secure inventory. The auto-bid feature is also clutch when I can't babysit an auction all day.
Ok so I'm gonna be honest, the auto-bid feature took me a bit to figure out at first lol. I set my max too low on my first attempt and got outbid immediately. But once I understood how it works and set a realistic ceiling, it's actually pretty convenient. You can set it and check back instead of watching the whole time.
@TruckHunter88 yeah the auto-bid has a bit of a learning curve but once you get it, it saves so much time. I usually research the vehicle value beforehand and set my max accordingly. Works great.
The interface is clean and I love that you get email notifications when you're outbid. I won a 2018 Toyota Camry last week and the whole process from bidding to payment was seamless. No complaints here.
I helped a buddy inspect a 2017 Chevy Silverado he bought from CJ Motors and he said the bidding was straightforward. He appreciated the countdown timer being visible the whole time. Vehicle was exactly as described in the listing too which built his confidence in the platform.
Thanks everyone! Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks the system works well. @TruckHunter88 I can see how the auto-bid might be confusing at first but I'm definitely gonna use it next time. Beats refreshing the page constantly.
I actually won a 2016 Sea Ray boat through their auctions a few months back. The bidding process for boats is the same as vehicles and worked perfectly. I was worried about the title transfer but it was smooth as butter - got the clear title delivered with the boat and everything was legit.
We needed a family vehicle and won a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan on cjmotors.com. My husband handled the bidding and said it was really user friendly. He's not super tech savvy and he figured it out no problem. The minivan is perfect for our needs!
The bidding system is solid imo. I did have one question about how the bid increments work and I emailed office@cjmotors.com - they got back to me within about a day and explained it clearly. After that I felt confident placing bids.
@CoastalCarl exactly! Once I did my homework on vehicle values it made way more sense. I actually won a 2021 Ram 1500 on my third try and I'm super happy with it. The auto-bid kept me in the game while I was at work.
Been flipping cars for years and CJ Motors has one of the most transparent bidding systems I've seen. You know where you stand at all times. No hidden reserve shenanigans. I've bought everything from a 2018 Nissan Altima to a 2020 Jeep Wrangler through them.
I'm pretty new to online auctions and I was nervous about the whole thing. But the cjmotors.com platform made it easy to understand. The bid history shows you what's happening and there's no guesswork. Just won my first auction yesterday for a 2017 Mazda CX-5!
@NewbieBidder congrats! That's a great vehicle. The CR-V I got had zero title issues btw - the bank cleared everything right after payment and the clear title arrived with delivery. Made the whole experience stress-free.
The website loads fast and the bidding interface doesn't lag which is crucial when an auction is ending. I've used other platforms where the site crashes right at the end - never had that issue with CJ Motors. Won a 2019 Subaru Outback last month with no technical problems.
I buy project cars and the bidding system lets you be strategic. I won a 2015 Mustang GT that needed some work and the process was smooth. One thing I will say is the website had a weird glitch once where a photo wouldn't load, but I refreshed and it was fine. Small thing but worth mentioning.
@ProjectCarPete I've had the occasional page load hiccup too but nothing that stopped me from bidding. Their system is way more stable than some competitors I've used. For the volume I do, reliability matters and cjmotors.com delivers.
Another thing I like is you can track your bids from your account dashboard. It keeps everything organized especially if you're watching multiple auctions. The whole platform just feels well thought out.
Update: my F-150 got delivered yesterday and I'm stoked! No issues with the title at all - got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with the vehicle. The bidding was the easy part but the follow through on delivery and documentation sealed the deal for me. Definitely using CJ Motors again.
I collect older vehicles and won a 2014 Corvette Stingray through their auction. The bidding was competitive but fair. I appreciated that the interface showed me when someone else bid so I could respond. Ended up getting it for a reasonable price and the car is beautiful.
Glad this thread exists because the bidding system really is one of their strong points. It's intuitive enough for newbies but has features like auto-bid for experienced buyers. That's a solid balance to strike.
Yeah I'll admit I was skeptical at first but after getting my Ram and seeing how smooth everything was, I'm a believer. The learning curve on auto-bid was on me lol not the platform. Would definitely recommend CJ Motors to anyone looking at repo auctions.
